The eyebrow transplant may be defined as the process where healthy hair follicles transplanted into eyebrows taken from donor areas and located at the nape between two ears. This process starts with the decision of shape of eyebrow requested at the consultation conducted with plastic surgery of the patient.
Afterwards, the patient is slightly sedated and local anesthesia is applied to the operation area. The follicles taken from the hairy skin are placed as extra thin follicular units into very small channels in skin for a natural appearance and no mark in the area.
The process takes approximately one hour, and a bath may be taken approximately 24 hours after the process. A slight incrustation and rash may occur for four days after application on the eyebrow transplanted area.
The area heals in four to five days. It takes three to six months for eyebrows to completely grow.
